WE HAVE UNIQUE ICONIC IMAGES AVAILABLE NO WHERE ELSE

• The unique part of this archive is that thousands of the images are important visual icons and are not available anywhere else. Either In public or private collections.
  
  
• While much of the archive may possibly have a surviving duplicate print somewhere - It is in obscure localities that are costly to locate, and not easily, timely, or practically obtained.
  
  
• In several areas the archive represents world class accumulations of images that challange the cumulative public and private sources.
  
  
• For completeness and one stop shopping a good part of the collection does represent general historic images that are available from other historic holdings. However in most cases we have access to the rare and valuable original image so that our stock print or slide is a first generation unique image.
  
  
• Having access to the original historic photograph can be very important for it allows us to re- photograph an original image concentrating on the isolated aspect (that a client desires) so that a first generation clear image results. This is akin to the modern documentarians who zoom into to a part of an image to create a new visual experience. While it can be done with a copy print you then have a copy of a copy - not as clear or detailed.
