Consultation and Research



Dr. Burns, the staff and resources of the Archive are available for consultation to the media, scholars, researchers, film makers and students. Arcane and unusual topics are the historic and photographic highlight' s of the Collection. Some examples would be the United States Nicaragua Canal, the US - Chinese incursions of the 1920's, US-Japanese relations in the 1900-1910 era and early industrialization photos.

In general if the archive doesn't contain the material on a topic Archive staff may know the whereabouts of images, ephemera and other material that is not generally accessible.

Dr. Burns' vision and unique ability to cull important topics and works of historic photography has made him and his collection the most sought after. He has written ten books, hundreds of articles, mounted exhibitions, produced a documentary and actively participates in dozens of exhibitions.
